Highlight Specific information/data for the 2nd NHRC/UNHCR Dashboard (May –July 2025) on the Protection of Forcibly Displaced Persons Through Information/Data Collation and Documentation in Nigeria.

Introduction

Nigerian faces huge human rights and humanitarian unsalutary situation because of complex interplay of factors causing widespread forcible displacement.

Background

Insurgency in the North East has existed for over a decade now and there is still wide spread of violence by Non-State Armed Group (NSAG), and clashes between herders and farmers in the North East of Adamawa, Borno and Yobe States. These crises have prompted massive destruction of public building, shelters, farmlands, properties, mass displacement of persons including loss of lives and livelihood.
