A Complainant before the Independent Investigation Panel on Human Rights Violation by the Defunct SARS and other units of the Nigerian Police Force Mr. Charles Ogu has come before the panel praying it to compel the police to release the corpse of his Brother-in-law, Chibikem Nkaru killed extrajudicial in a clash between police and members of MOSSOB.

The Independent Investigative Panel on Alleged Human Rights Violations by the Defunct Special Anti-Robbery Squad and other Units of the Nigeria Police (IIP-SARS) on Thursday expressed dismay over the absence of the Nigeria Police legal team before the Panel sitting in Abuja.

A petitioner, Hassan Sani Musa on Tuesday told the Independent Investigative Panel on the defunct SARS and other units of the Nigerian Police Force that in order to pacify his family after torturing his brother to death, the police presented food items and money to them.
